Aadujeevitham is based on the autobiographical novel of the same name. It follows the journey of Najeeb Mohammed, portrayed by Prithviraj, who endures the harsh environment of the desert and thirst to return to his homeland in Kerala.

Aadujeevitham is director Blessy's dream project, and it took him 16 years to realize this dream. The film was delayed as it required a substantial budget to bring Blessy's vision to the big screen. When Blessy announced the project in 2008, the budget for the film seemed unreasonable given the Malayalam film industry's market value at the time.

However, in recent years, regional film industries in the country have grown in scale and size, allowing ambitious filmmakers like Blessy to realize their passion projects.

Aadujeevitham will hit screens on March 28.
