Mamta Kulkarni on her spiritual path: 'Can't imagine doing films again'

Mamta Kulkarni, now Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhada, ruled out returning to acting, calling her new role akin to an "Olympic medal." She performed rituals at Sangham Ghat, embracing spirituality.

Mamta Kulkarni has spoken publicly about her time in the movies and whether or not she plans to return to acting. According to the actor, being named Mahamandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada is like receiving an "Olympic medal." During the Maha Kumbh, Mamta was most recently named Mahamandleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada.

Mamta Kulkarni has no plans to return to acting

Mamta told India Today that she can't even imagine doing films again when asked about the possibility of returning to the entertainment sector. At this moment, it is completely out of her reach. The Kinnara Akhada people stand in for Shiva's Ardhnareshwar avatar and Parvati, the goddess of victory. After 23 years of spiritual effort, being a Mahamandaleshwar of such an Akhada is like receiving an Olympic gold. Goddess Adishakti alone has bestowed this accolade upon her. Being a part of the Kinnar Akhada meant freedom to her; therefore, she decided to join. This place is completely unrestricted.

Mamta discussed her years in the entertainment world and working with the biggest stars of Hindi cinema. She continued by saying that entertainment is essential in life. Performing rituals at Prayagraj’s Sangham Ghat

On Friday morning, Mamta performed "pind daan" at Prayagraj's Sangham Ghat. Mahadev and Maha Kaali gave the order; the ex-actor had told ANI. Her guru had instructed her to carry out this task. They picked today and nothing was done by her.

The news that Mamta has assumed a spiritual role as the Mahamandleshwar was proclaimed earlier in the day by Acharya Laxmi Narayan, the Mahamandleshwar of Kinnar Akhada.

Mamta Kulkarni's Bollywood legacy

Mamta became famous in the '90s thanks to her roles in blockbuster films like Karan Arjun and Baazi. Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan are just a few of the superstars she has collaborated with. But Mamta left Bollywood and lived a life away from the spotlight in the early 2000s when she relocated abroad.
