Mammootty is all set to kickstart the shooting of his next outing, directed by newcomer Jithin K Jose, in a few days. The megastar is rumoured to be playing a negative role yet again in the untitled project, which is touted to be a psychological crime thriller. Along with the veteran actor, the untitled project will also star Vinayakan in a pivotal role. Recently, Mammootty was seen flaunting his new look for the Jithin K Jose directorial, as he made a public appearance.

The legendary actor, who was spotted outside a Mosque recently after offering prayers, was seen sporting a new look. In the pictures which are now taking social media by storm, Mammootty is seen in a back-combed hairdo and a thick mustache. Notably, the megastar also bid goodbye to his signature thick beard after a very long gap, in the pictures. According to the grapevine, the Kannur Squad actor is sporting this new look for his role in the upcoming Jithin K Jose directorial.

Mammootty and Vinayakan’s roles
If the reports are to be believed, Mammootty is all set to play a negative role in the upcoming Jithin K Jose directorial. Vinayakan, the Kerala State Award-winning actor, has been roped in to appear as the protagonist in the untitled film. Both the actors are also rumoured to be playing the roles of police officers in the project, which is touted to be an intense crime thriller. The Jithin K Jose directorial was officially launched in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, in a low-key pooja ceremony.
Roby Varghese Raj, the renowned cinematographer who made his directorial debut with the blockbuster movie Kannur Squad, has reportedly joined the team as the director of photography. Sushin Shyam, the celebrated musician, is said to be in talks to compose the songs and the original score. The makers are yet to finalise the rest of the star cast of the untitled film. The untitled project is bankrolled by Mammootty himself, under his home banner Mammootty Kampany.
