Mammootty's Bramayugam is set against the backdrop of the 18th century and it seems to revolve around the horrors of black magic.

In a heartfelt note, producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra expressed deep gratitude for landing the opportunity to make Bramayugam, which he promised would soon join the ranks of one of the finest films ever made in Malayalam cinema.
"First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. Mammootty for allowing us to work with him. It truly has been an honour and a dream come true to be associated with the icon and to be a small part of his stellar career spanning more than 425 films," he said.

Bramayugam features Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead role. The trailer showcases Mammootty portraying a mysterious character unravelling dark secrets within an ancient house, surrounded by darkness and forests.

Bramayugam marks Chakravarthy's debut as a producer under his newly launched production banner, Night Shift Studios.
"It was as though the universe conspired for Bramayugam to happen. A new production house, a producer new to the Malayalam film industry, Mr. Mammootty trusting and welcoming us, and eventually, the industry accepting us, it has been a dream come true," he said.
Bramayugam is set against the backdrop of the 18th century and it seems to revolve around the horrors of black magic. The trailer promised a gripping thriller, completely presented in black and white, adding to its appeal. "Bramayugam is an example of setting new standards and pushing boundaries with an uncompromised approach to delivering content," noted the producer.
Written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who gained recognition with the critical success of Bhoothakaalam, a horror story exploring the strained relationship between a mother and son, Bramayugam aims to break new ground in the horror genre in India. "To our visionary director, Mr. Rahul Sadasivan, your creative brilliance, artistic vision and unwavering commitment are commendable," added Chakravarthy.
Bramayugam was released in cinemas worldwide on Thursday (February 15) amid a lot of anticipation. The movie also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharatban, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan.
