Mammootty’s biggest hit of all time – Bheeshma Parvam – is all set to drop online soon, and OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar had dropped a hint on when the gangster thriller, directed by Amal Neerad, would begin streaming.

The streaming giant released a promo video of the film on their YouTube channel on Sunday, asking what are the plans for Friday, April 1? OTTplay had already revealed that Hotstar had acquired the digital rights for the Mammootty-starrer, which released in theatres on March 3.

The movie, which marked the second collaboration between Mammootty and Amal Neerad after their cult hit Big B in 2007, has already gone on to rake in close to Rs 85 crore in box office earnings worldwide. This makes it the highest grossing Mammootty film.

Bheeshma Parvam, which is set in the late 1980s, is inspired by The Godfather and Mahabharat, with the team’s own spin to the two narratives, with Mammootty’s character Michael serving as the patriarch of the Anjootti family in Kochi. The movie has an ensemble cast featuring Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Shebin Benson, Anagha, Veena Nandakumar, Nadiya Moidu, Sudev Nair, Jinu Joseph, Dileesh Pothan, Nisthar Sait, Harish Uthaman, KPAC Lalitha, Srinda and Nedumudi Venu.

Meanwhile, Mammootty will also have two more releases in April. Puzhu, directed by Ratheena PT and co-starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, will mark the megastar’s first direct-to-OTT debut when it drops on Sony LIV, tentatively on April 8. The film, which is touted to be an intense family thriller, revolves around a father and son who have trust issues.

On April 28, the actor will once again be seen as the iconic character CBI Sethurama Iyer in K Madhu’s CBI 5: The Brain. The movie will also have Mukesh and Jagathy reprising their roles as Chacko and Vikram, along with new cast additions Dileesh Pothan, Soubin Shahir, Kaniha and Asha Sharath.
