Mammootty, the legendary Malayalam actor is going through an excellent phase in his acting career. Especially after the long pandemic break, the megastar has been highly active in the film industry with back-to-back critical and commercial successes. The 72-year-old megastar, who is currently the busiest actor in the industry, recently opened up about his never-ending passion for cinema. Mammootty also revealed how he wants the world to remember him, leaving the fans and cine-goers emotional.
In a recent interview with a leading Arab media, Mammootty extensively spoke about his undying love for cinema and acting. The megastar, who has been busy in his acting career with back-to-back promising projects, revealed that he has never come to the point where he felt ‘it is enough’. The Bramayugam actor, who revealed that he never feels exhausted, also added that it will remain the same till his very last breath. With this statement, Mammootty once again confirmed that he has no plans to quit cinema, which has always remained his biggest passion.
The megastar, who further opened up about his love for cinema, also made a revealtion that left both his fans and cine-goers highly emotional. When Mammootty was asked how he wants the world to remember him, the Kaathal: The Core actor stated that he does not believe in that concept. “How long will they remember me? One year? Ten years? Fifteen years? Finished,” stated the veteran actor. “Don’t expect the world to remember you till the end. That won’t happen to anybody,” further added the megastar.
“I’m one among the thousands of actors. How can they remember me more? More than a year? There is no hope for that,” concluded Mammootty. The Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam actor’s video is now going viral on social media. The Malayalam cine-goers and Mammootty fans are now busy expressing how much the legendary actor means to them, with touching social media posts.
Bramayugam, the black-and-white period horror film that featured Mammootty as the lead antagonist Kudamon Potti, is one of the most acclaimed Malayalam films of recent times. The movie directed by Rahul Sadasivan, is currently available for streaming on Sony LIV, in five languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
Mammootty and Lijo Jose Pellissery's much-loved film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam is currently streaming on Netflix. Kaathal: The Core, the pathbreaking Jeo Baby directorial which featured the megastar and popular actress Jyotika in the lead roles, can be watched on Amazon Prime Video. Mammootty's blockbuster outing Kannur Squad is streaming in Disney+ Hotstar, while his acclaimed social drama Puzhu is available on Sony LIV.
