Mammootty is now busy promoting Bramayugam, the highly anticipated period-horror thriller. During his interaction with media, the megastar spoke about the new phase in his career.
Mammootty, the legendary actor of Malayalam cinema is going through a highly exciting phase, with back-to-back unconventional films. The megastar is now joining hands with Rahul Sadasivan, the director of Bhoothakaalam, for his upcoming project Bramayugam. The cast and crew members of the highly anticipated project are now busy with the final promotions. As reported earlier, the period-horror thriller has been slated to hit the big screens on February 15, 2024, Thursday.
Recently, Mammootty and the Bramayugam team interacted with the media at a press meet held in Kochi. During the Q&A session, the megastar was asked about the comments of Malaikottai Vaaliban producer Shibu Baby John, who suggested that Mohanlal’s experimental films are not received well like Mammootty’s projects. The veteran actor, who refrained from commenting on the same, opened up about the new phase in his career.
The megastar, who extensively spoke about being a part of path-breaking projects lately, stated that he is ready to do everything for cinema. Mammootty, who feels that cinema is an experimental medium, stated that he doesn’t believe in the term ‘experimental film’. According to the veteran actor, he is ready to do anything it takes to be a part of a good film, as he always wished to be a part of the industry. For the National Award winner, cinema is the only thing he ever liked.

Interestingly, Mammootty added that he just wanted to do films when he entered the film industry and stated that everything that came to his life later was ‘bonuses’. The megastar requested the support of his fans and cine-goers to always be in everything he does and asked them not to leave him mid-way, even if something doesn’t work as expected.

The veteran actor has a massive line-up of upcoming projects in his kitty. After the release of Bramayugam, Mammootty will be next seen in Turbo, the upcoming action comedy helmed by Vysakh. Bazooka, the action thriller helmed by Deeno Dennis, is also gearing up for its release. He is reportedly reuniting with Bheeshma Parvam director Amal Neerad for a new project. As per the reports, the megastar is also set to play the lead roles in editor-director Mahesh Narayanan’s political thriller, and Ranjan Pramod’s upcoming untitled film.
