Mammootty is set to reunite with hitmaker Vysakh for the upcoming action thriller Turbo. The megastar, who is also the producer of the film, celebrated New Year with the cast and crew of the film.

Mammootty, the megastar of Malayalam cinema is currently busy with a handful of promising projects in his kitty. The veteran actor is reuniting with hitmaker Vysakh after a long gap of 5 years, for his upcoming project Turbo. The movie, which is touted to be a high voltage mass action thriller, is scripted by the renowned writer-filmmaker, Midhun Manuel Thomas. Mammootty, who is currently busy with the shooting of Turbo, celebrated New Year with the cast and crew members of the film.

Recently, the megastar took to his official social media handles and dropped a lovely location click with director Vysakh, and the rest of the Turbo team, which was clicked durinhg the New Year celebrations held today. “2024 New Year at @TurboTheFilm Location,” Mammootty captioned the post. In the picture, the celebrated actor is seen in the get-up of his character from the film, Turbo Jose. The pictures from the Turbo location, are now going viral on social media.
Later, the production banner Mammootty Kampany dropped a few more stills and a special video of the New Year celebration at the Turbo location, on social media. “2024 New Year Celebrations at @TurboTheFilm Location with our dearest @mammukka,” reads the Twitter post of the production house. “Beginning 2024 with nothing but happiness...” the team captioned the location video. The veteran actor is seen having a fun time with his cast and crew members in the video.

Turbo: Here’s what we know
According to the reports, Mammootty is playing the central character Turbo Jose, a powerful man who travels to another state for an important mission. Earlier it was rumoured that Turbo is a spin-off to the megastar’s blockbuster film Kottayam Kunjachan. However, the team members put the rumours to rest very soon and confirmed that Turbo revolves around a fresh subject.

Along with Mammootty, the project features Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, Antony Varghese, Telugu actor Sunil, and others in key roles. Vishnu Sarma is the director of photography. Shameer Muhammed handles the editing. Justin Varghese composes the songs and original score. Shajie Naduvil handles the production design. Turbo is bankrolled by Mammootty himself, under his home banner Mammootty Kampany.
