The Amal Neerad directorial, which also has Soubin Shahir, Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi in pivotal roles, is set for a March 3 release
It’s been a wait that lasted for 15 years and finally Bheeshma Parvam, Mammootty and director Amal Neerad’s first collaboration after the superhit Big B, is set to hit theatres next week. The movie recently was cleared by the censor board and the theatre bookings for the thriller is all set to begin soon.
On Tuesday, Mammootty fans on Twitter have been excited about the preview of the film being widely lauded. We now know that the film has been cleared by CBFC with a U/A rating and has a runtime of 2 hour and 24 minutes.
While booking for fans shows have already begun in several centres last week, the official bookings for the audience is expected to start from February 27, with the film set to release on Thursday, March 3.
The movie will also mark Mammootty’s first theatrical release this year. Both Amal Neerad and Mammootty had geared up to shoot the sequel of Big B titled Bilal in 2020 when the nationwide lockdown was announced. While the project has been put on the backburner for now, the duo began work on Bheeshma Parvam last year.
The megastar plays the role of Michael, a former gangster gone straight, but is forced to go back to his old ways after his family is threatened by people from his past. The film has Shine Tom Chacko and Farhaan Faasil playing Michael’s nephews. Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Nadiya Moidu, Veena Nandakumar, Srinda, Sudev Nair, Dileesh Pothen, Jinu Joseph and Nedumudi Venu are also part of the film, which is set in the 1980s.
The movie’s music is composed by Sushin Shyam while Anend C Chandran has cranked the camera. Scripted by Amal and Devadath Shaji, the film is expected to be Mammootty’s biggest release since Madhuraraja in 2019.
