Malayalam actor Mamitha Baiju has become a sensation overnight with her recent success Premalu. While the film has been going non-stop in making box office records and minting big numbers, the actor is set to make her Tamil debut with GV Prakash-starrer Rebel. As she awaits the release of the film on March 22, there have been speculations that she has come onboard her second Tamil project, VV 21.

VV 21 is the tentative title of actor Vishnu Vishal's next film with director Ram Kumar. It was earlier reported that the duo will join hands once again after Ratsasan and Mundasupatti.

Mamitha signs her second Tamil film?

Actor Mamitha Baiju stamped her identity with the success of Malayalam film Premalu. The film has emerged successful at the box office by entering the 100-crore club.

As per the latest reports doing rounds on social media, it is speculated that the actor will be playing the female lead in VV 21 directed by Ram Kumar and co-starring Vishnu Vishal. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement about her casting. If the news of her casting is indeed true, VV 21 will mark the Premalu actor’s second Tamil project. Mamitha will be next seen in Tamil film Rebel which will release on March 22. She will be playing the role of a Malayali student in the film set against the backdrop of a college in Munnar.

About VV 21

The shooting of VV 21 is going at a brisk pace. In February, the team announced that the shooting of the third schedule of the film is going on in Kodaikanal. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films banner, it marks the third collaboration between Vishnu Vishal and Ram Kumar after Mundasupatti (2014) and Ratsasan (2018). The makers of VV 21 are yet to announce the additional cast and technical crew members.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal was last seen in Lal Salaam. The actor is also rumoured to have taken up Silambarasan’s role in Corona Kumar with director Gokul.
