Debutant N Srikanth Reddy directs the film bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas
Another top Malayalam actor is set to test new waters in Telugu cinema. Joju George, popular for films like Joseph, Iratta, is gearing up to make his Telugu debut with #PVT04, Panja Vaisshnav Tej’s next. Joju George plays the antagonist in the mass entertainer, directed by newcomer N Srikanth Reddy and produced by two leading banners - Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
Confirming his presence in the film, the makers wrote, “Introducing #JojuGeorge as ferocious, ruthless, troublesome "Chenga Reddy" in #PVT04.” In a bearded avatar, Joju George will play an out-and-out mass role in the untitled film. The first look from the actioner has the actor sporting a brown shirt, holding a weapon while lighting up a cigarette with another hand. The makers congratulated the actor for his recent hit Iratta in the poster too.
Joju George’s last release Iratta is quite popular among Telugu audiences post its OTT release on Netflix. Ordinary, Thattathin Marayathu, Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum, 1983, Rajadhi Raja, Action Hero Biju and Njan Marykutty are among his other well known films in Malayalam. He also made his Tamil debut with Dhanush starrer Jagame Thanthiram, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
Sreeleela is the female lead of the mass entertainer. Though the makers announced that the film will hit screens on April 29, reports suggest the release date has been postponed. However, the makers have completed nearly three-fourth’s of the filming, with only a few songs to be shot. Dudley cranks the camera for the project and Navin Nooli is the editor.
AS Prakash is the art director of the film and Srikara Studios is the presenter. Sreeleela also is the female lead alongside Naveen Polishetty in the banner’s upcoming venture Anaganaga Oka Roju. The banners released two other films this year - Sir and Butta Bomma. Sir was a hit at the box office and Butta Bomma didn’t perform well at the ticket window. Their sequel to DJ Tillu, Till Square, is set for a release this summer.
