Malavika Mohanan to make her debut in Telugu cinema, opposite Prabhas in his next?

The actress is currently awaiting the release of her Tamil film, Maaran, which also stars Dhanush

Malavika Mohanan is gearing up to make her Tollywood debut soon, and it seems that it is going to be a big one. The actress has reportedly hinted that she has come on board for a film, in which she will share the screen with Prabhas.

While in a conversation with Tamil media, Mohanan opened up about her upcoming Telugu project and speculations that have been floating, of late. She confirmed that she has come on board for a ‘really big Telugu’ film, although she remained tight-lipped about the details regarding the same. The actress added that work on the project will start soon.

It is speculated that the film the actress is referring to is Prabhas’ upcoming project, directed by Maruthi. Touted to be a comedy entertainer, the film reportedly has been given the tentative title, Raja Deluxe. The film will be produced by DVV Danayya, who has also produced SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Raja Deluxe is expected to go on floors soon, and the makers will make an official announcement regarding the film. It is rumoured that the film will also feature Sree Leela.

Mohanan made her movie debut in the 2013 film, Pattam Pole. She is currently awaiting the release of her Tamil film Maaran, which will have a direct to OTT release. The film, directed by Karthick Naren, will see her share the screen with Dhanush. Maaran will release on Disney+ Hotstar on March 11. The actress is currently working on the Hindi film Yudhra as well, in which she will play the female lead opposite Gehraiyaan star, Siddhant Chaturvedi.
