The film industry received shocking news today, September 11 as Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora's father Anil Arora died by suicide. The investigation is ongoing and reports suggest that he was suffering from depression. Amid this, Varun Dhawan called out the paparazzi's behavior for pointing cameras at people's faces during the grievance time.
A while ago, Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram story and shared a message for the paparazzi. Addressing the behavior of paparazzi pointing cameras at Malaika Arora and her family members' faces during their difficult time, the actor penned, "It is the most insensitive thing to point cameras in the face of people who are grieving please."
He further wrote, "Think what you people are doing or what someone is going through when u do this. I understand it is work but sometimes another human might not be Ohkay with this #humanity"
As per an ABP News report, Anil Arora jumped off the building around 9 am today. The report further mentioned that the mortal remains of Malaika's father have been kept in Baba Hospital.
ANI took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared Mumbai Police's statement, "Father of actress-model Malaika Arora died by suicide by jumping off a terrace. Police team is present at the spot."
As soon as the news was revealed Arjun Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Salim Khan, Salma, and Sohail rushed to the house of Malaika's mother.
Meanwhile, Malaika was in Pune when the devastating incident took place. A while ago, she also reached the residence.
Speaking more about Malaika and Amrita's late father, he worked in the Indian Merchant Navy. He was married to Joyce Polycarp, a Malayali Christian. They were blessed with two daughters, Malaika and Amrita. However, Anil and Joyce parted ways when Malaika was 11 and Amrita was 6.
In a recent interview, Malaika opened up about her parents' separation when she was just 11. She revealed that her childhood was 'wonderful' but not 'easy' and also shared, "My parents' separation allowed me to observe my mother through a new lens."
