Adivi Sesh’s upcoming biographical drama Major is one of the most anticipated movies that is gearing up for a release. The makers recently postponed its release , but have now updated the fans with a new release date.
The official Twitter handle of GMB Entertainment, the makers of the movie, gave the latest update, revealing that the movie will hit theaters worldwide on May 27.
Adivi Sesh, who takes the lead in the movie, also shared the exciting news with his fans on his official social media handles.
Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, Major is a multilingual project that is made simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. The movie, which will also be dubbed into Malayalam, is produced by Sony Pictures India, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A+S Movies.
The movie is a biographical drama based on the real-life story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks. Major will follow his life from his childhood days to his life in the army and also the events from the Mumbai Attacks.
Apart from Sesh, Major also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma in important roles. With music from Sricharan Pakala, the multi-lingual has Vamsi Patchipulusu as the cinematographer and Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi and Kodati Pavan Kalyan as editors.
The movie was supposed to hit theaters on February 11, but the makers delayed the release of the movie owing to the increasing number of COVID cases in the country.
