Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has elevated his fitness game to another level. The 48-year-old superstar, while always maintaining a lean physique, never really seemed a fan of pumping iron. However, it seems no longer the case.

Mahesh Babu has now shared a picture of himself working his arms at the gym. "Embracing the burn, feeling the gains!" he captioned the photo.

Mahesh has been keeping his fans inspired about fitness by frequently sharing glimpses of his workout routine. He seems to be doing a hybrid workout, which is a mix of high-intensity interval exercises coupled with weight and cardio training. Earlier, he also shared one of his weekend workouts encouraging his followers to try the time-based routine.

The popular opinion is Mahesh has stepped up his fitness in preparation for his role in director SS Rajamouli's next movie. The untitled movie has already captured the imagination of the moviegoing audiences, not just in India, but across the world.

The project is still in pre-production as Rajamouli was busy with the Oscar campaign in the USA for his previous global hit RRR . If not for the movie's global rage, following its debut on Netflix, the project might have gone into production by now.

There is little information about the current stage of the project. Judging from the intensity of Mahesh's training, it's safe to assume that the project is closer to going into production.

Earlier, Rajamouli had described the upcoming project as “a globetrotting action-adventure film”. According to several reports, Rajamouli is planning to shoot this movie across Africa. It's also said that the movie is inspired by the likes of Indiana Jones.

Meanwhile, Mahesh is shooting with director Trivikram's Guntur Karam .
