Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata to be dubbed in Tamil?

If the buzz in the industry is to go by, Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Patta, is likely to have a Tamil release as well. The film, which is directed by Parasuram Petla, will have Mahesh Babu teaming up opposite Keerthy Suresh. This is the first time that the duo is coming together on screen. The rest of the star cast includes Samuthirakani, Vennela Kishore, and Subbaraju.

Sarkaru Vaari Patta is touted to be an action comedy, penned by Parasuram. The film, which was initially scheduled to release on the occasion of Sankranthi, was postponed and is now slated to release on May 12th worldwide. The work on the film had begun in late 2020 and the makers had a formal launch, but the production had to be put on hold due to the pandemic. The shoot resumed in mid-2021 and was wrapped by the end of the year. Music for the film is by Thaman. This is the fourth time that Thaman is collaborating with Mahesh Babu after churning out hit albums in Aagadu, Businessman and Dookudu. While the cinematography is by R Madhi, editing is handled by Marthand K Venkatesh.

The film’s director Parasuram had called the opportunity to work with Mahesh Babu, a dream come true. He had earlier made the hit Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Geetha Govindam. The dubbed version of the film in Tamil was well received by the audience.

In the meantime, we hear that the makers are planning to have the trailer dubbed in Tamil. Mahesh Babu has quite a strong presence in Tamil Nadu and his last release Sarileru Neekevvaru was also dubbed in Tamil. However, it was released a few months after the release of the original. His film with AR Murugadoss Spyder, too, was released in both Tamil and Telugu.
