Huma Qureshi and Sohum Shah's power-packed political drama is back with a sturdy sequel. The Ravindra Gautam directorial is the continuation of the story from the first instalment that sees Rani Bharti turning into a powerful politician from an uneducated housewife. Ahead of its release on Sony LIV, the makers have unveiled a new promo video from the upcoming series.

The latest promo sees the public condemning CM Rani on the streets and burning her idol. Moving on, the protagonist goes to prison to meet her husband and former CM of Bihar, who has been arrested on corruption charges. After a while, Huma can be seen speaking in a huge gathering about how she as a leader and her party won't allow any criminal to take part in the election from her side.

Moving on, Rani Bharti and Bheema Bharti (played by Huma and Sohum) can be seen taking part in multiple campaigns due to upcoming elections. On the other hand, the montage witnesses how other parties' leaders are talking about taking advantage of the fight that's going on between husband and wife. Towards the end, the promo glimpses a few new faces from the second season including the Ek Thi Begum fame Anuja Sathe, who is said to be playing an important character in Maharani 2.
