Maharani 2: Sohum Shah is back as Bheema Bharti – see first looks

Sohum Shah is back in Maharani 2 as the Chief Minister, Bheema Bharti. He plays the role of Huma Qureshi’s husband in the series. Sohum shared his images aka first looks from Maharani season 2.

In the photos, Sohum could be seen with a beard. He wore a white kurta and pyjama with an indigo-coloured Nehru jacket.

Bheema was one of the main gamechangers in Maharani season 1. He had resigned as Bihar’s CM and forced his wife, Rani Bharti (Huma) to step up and take the responsibility of the chair.

Thus, with that began Rani’s journey to becoming Bihar’s CM and running the state under various complications. From her not willing to sign piles of documents to being accused of being involved with a huge scam (of Rs. 958 crores), Rani was forced to step her game.

Apart from struggling with herself, Rani also had to face every opponent who tried to pull her down. Every person tried to challenge her to step down from her position but Rani is not the one to do so when she climbed up with difficulty.

What all will Rani have to face next? The new season of Maharani might just touch upon that topic.

Sohum’s character or at least his look is reportedly inspired from former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. The web series, which was declared a hit, maintained authenticity by shooting portions in Bihar.

Maharani’s second season wrapped up recently. The show’s release date is yet to be announced but it will be released on SonyLIV, like the first season.
