The first look of Maharaja
It was announced a while ago that Vijay Sethupathi's 50th project has been titled Maharaja. Nithilan Saminathan of Kurangu Bommai directed the movie produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Ammu Abhirami and Natty among others play important roles in the film.

B Ajaneesh Loknath has composed the music while Dinesh Purushothaman has cranked the camera. Philomin Raj and Anl Arasu have helmed editing and action choreography respectively for the movie. V Selva Kumar is in charge of art direction.
Maharaja first look: Vijay Sethupathi sports a new avatar
The actor, who is now garnering praise for his performance in Jawan, is seen in a new appearance in the first look of Maharaja which has been unveiled now. He is seen sitting on a chair in a small dilapidated building wielding a sword dripping with blood even as he is surrounded by a few cops.
He has blood stains all over his dress and his left ear is bandaged. The actor looks remorseless after having committed a murder. The intriguing poster has left his fans thrilled.
Playing hero after a short hiatus
Maharaja will feature Sethupathi as a hero after a while. Though the actor's Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir which was released this year had him playing the protagonist, it was lying in the cans for a long time. DSP, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal and Maamanithan were a few movies that had him essaying the lead in recent times.

Merry Christmas and Gandhi Talks are upcoming movies of the actor who had half a dozen releases in 2023.
