More on Maharaja

Maharaja is a revenge drama. The film revolves around a barber who lodges a complaint that a dustbin has been stolen from his home by burglars. However, there is more than meets the eye, as the barber is looking for someone who has done the unspeakable.

While the film got a positive reception upon its release, it also dealt with a fair share of backlash for its handling of sexual abuse. The film is bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. Maharaja is shot by Dinesh Purushothaman, with Ajaneesh Loknath scoring the music. Philomin Raj has worked on the edits.

Maharaja was released in theatres on June 14 and is expected to be released on Netflix in mid-July.
