Madhura Manohara Moham marks the directorial debut of costume designer Stephy Zaviour
Kerala State Award-winning costume designer Stephy Zaviour is all set for the release of her directorial debut Madhura Manohara Moham, which is a family entertainer. The movie, which is written by Mahesh Gopal and Jai Vishnu, is set to hit theatres along with Lukman Avaran’s Jackson Bazaar Youth and Urvashi’s Charles Enterprises.
Madhura Manohara Moham, which had wrapped up its shoot earlier this year, has Rajisha Vijayan, Sharafudheen, Bindu Panicker, Arsha Chandini Baiju, Vijayaraghavan, Saiju Kurup and Niranj Maniyanpilla Raji as part of its cast.
What is the story of Madhura Manohara Moham?
The family comedy-drama revolves around a mother and her three children, essayed by Sharafudheen, Rajisha and debutante Malavika. It also has Althaf Salim and Biju Sopanam in pivotal roles. Arsha plays the romantic interest of Sharafudheen’s character named Manu.
The film revolves around the incidents that happen within the family including inter-caste marriage, and is told through humour. Set in Pathanamthitta, the movie will also explore the various traditions followed in the district that have seldom been used in Malayalam cinema, as per the makers.
Bindu Panicker had won plaudits for his recent role in Mammootty’s Rorschach, in which she essayed the antagonist. Madhura Manoraha Moham, which has her playing the role of Usha, however, taps to her humorous side once again.
Stephy, who had made her debut as a costume designer in 2015, is among the few female Malayalam directors in the industry including Geetu Mohandas, Anjali Menon, Vidhu Vincent and Ratheena PT.
The upcoming movie has Chandru Selvaraj as its cinematographer, while Hesham Abdul Wahab has handled its music department, Appu Bhattathiri and Malavika VN are its editors and Jayan Crayon is its art director.
