Madhura Manohara Moham, which is directed by Stephy Zaviour, also has Bindu Panicker
Kerala State Film Award-winning costume designer Stephy Zaviour’s directorial debut Madhura Manohara Moham is all set to release in theatres soon. The movie, which is scripted by Mahesh Gopal and Jai Vishu, is touted to be a family entertainer told through humour.
The film has Rajisha Vijayan, Sharafudheen, debutante Malavika, Bindu Panicker, Vijayaraghavan, Arsha Chandini Baiju, Neena Kurup, Saiju Kurup and Biju Sopanam in pivotal roles.
What is the story of Madhura Manohara Moham?
The film revolves around a mother and three children. Bindu Panicker essays the role of the matriarch in the movie, which has Rajisha, Sharafudheen and Malavika play siblings. Arsha plays Sharafudheen’s pair with Vijaraghavan and Neena Kurup playing her parents. The film is set in Pathanamthitta and the district’s politics and culture also have a huge impact on its story.
Incidentally, Rajisha was the first artiste that its scriptwriters had approached with the story. Back then, Stephy was not attached to direct the movie. But after the pandemic, the costumer designer came onboard as its filmmaker.
In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Rajisha said, “From the very first day on the sets, she was confident and that blew me away. She was in control of everything and it never felt like this was her first movie. I am proud of her and happy that I could be part of her debut film.”
The film also marks Bindu Panicker’s next movie in a pivotal role after the hugely successful Rorschach that had her as an antagonist. For Rajisha too, this is one of the few times post pandemic, that she was part of a comedy film. “Right now, there’s space for humour and family-oriented movies that also leaves you with something to think about when you leave the theatres. I believe Madhura Manohara Moham slots into this genre,” she said.
When and where to watch Madhura Manohara Moham?
The movie will release in theatres on June 16 along with Anarkali Marikar’s Amala and Vijay Babu’s Pendulum.
