The actress’ official Facebook page posted a picture of Brazillian football player Vinicius Junior as a tribute after Pele’s death
After football legend Pele passed away, Madhumita Sarcar’s official Facebook page posted a picture of Brazillian football player Vinicius Junior as tribute. This faux pas created a buzz on social media and the actress was trolled. Finally, Madhumita opened her mouth over the issue. At the promotion of her upcoming film Dilkhush, she claimed to be a big fan of Pele.
In the time of social media, celebs face trolling even with a small mistake. Hence, it is no surprise that Madhumita was ridiculed. Now she tried to shield herself. She said that instead of mourning, people were busy trolling, which pained her.
She said, “People have no idea how big I am a fan of Pele. Pele’s playing style was like a dance movement. I can go on talking about what he did, including martial arts.” Then how come she posted the wrong picture? In an interview given to Audition.com, Madhumita said, “I had a call time in the morning. I asked my secretary to post a picture with the caption ‘RIP Legend’ and went to take a shower. My secretary took the picture from Google in a hurry and posted it. I came out and deleted the picture. It was done by mistake. To err is human.'
She added, “I would understand if I were trolled the next day. But I was trolled on that very day. People have made me more famous than Pele.”
On December 30, Madhumita posted a collage of two pictures on Facebook and wrote ‘RIP Legend’. One picture was of Vinicius Junior. Later she hurriedly deleted the post. But it got viral in the meantime. Madhumita posted a new status, but to no avail.
