She will be helming the biopic of legendary Bollywood actress Madhubala. The film has been named after the iconic actress, Madhubala. And now, netizens feel Alia Bhatt would be the perfect choice for the role.

The Madhubala biopic will be produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Brewing Thoughts Pvt. Ltd and Madhubala Ventures Pvt. Ltd. The makers shared the announcement on Instagram. Jasmeet also posted it on her IG account and her comments section is filled with netizens wanting Alia Bhatt to play the titular role in the film.

While sharing the official announcement on the gram, the makers of Madhubala wrote, "Exciting News! We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming film honoring the legendary Madhubala, the epitome of grace and talent. Get ready to delve into the timeless charm and captivating story of one of Bollywood’s most iconic stars. Stay tuned for updates! (sic)."

This announcement has come at a time when there were several speculations about Manish Malhotra attempting to make the Madhubala biopic with Kriti Sanon in the lead. While the casting announcement for Jasmeet's film is not confirmed yet, the movie is likely to go on floors this summer.
