It is safe to declare by now that Madha Gaja Raja has become a Pongal winner, among the handful of Tamil films which released for the festive season last week. Starring Vishal in the lead role, and directed by Sundar C, the film was released 12 years after its intended release, and has collected around Rs 18 crore in four days in India.

Madha Gaja Raja is a Tamil film starring Vishal in the lead role, and helmed by filmmaker Sundar C. The film, which was initially supposed to be released for Pongal 2013, finally saw the daylight 12 years later for Pongal 2025. Nevertheless, the film has managed to attract the audience, with the film collecting Rs 18 crore within four days, in India.

Madha Gaja Raja is the highest-earned film so far, as compared to other Tamil films that released, including Bala’s Vanangaan, Shane Nigam-starrer Madraskaaran, and Ravi Mohan-Nithya Menen’s Kadhalikka Neramillai. Madha Gaja Raja also stars actors Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anjali, Santhanam, Sadagopan Ramesh, Manobala, Manivannan, Sonu Sood, and others in prominent roles.

Madha Gaja Raja is about a man named Raja who is the problem solver for his friends. After reuniting with them for a school teacher’s wedding, he gets to know that two of his friends are in trouble due to a highly influential business tycoon. The rest of the film deals with how Raja uses all his means to defeat the powerful villain.

The main element that brought success to Madha Gaja Raja is watching Santhanam play a comedian, which has been missing in recent times after the actor is seen in lead roles now. The film is produced by Gemini Film Circuit and has music by Vijay Antony.
