What is Madgaon Express about?
Madgaon Express is Kunal Khemmu’s first stint as a director and writer; he also has a cameo in the film. It follows the tale of three friends, Dodo, Ayush, and Pinku, who have been intent on taking a trip together without parental supervision. The request was always met with rejections, chappals, and flying spatulas.
When the answer finally changes, the three set out on their first adventure together, a trip to Goa. They have a rough start, ranging from crashing the car to travelling in dingy train compartments, but eventually make their way to the dreamy paradise. Their happy-go-lucky vacation is cut short when their cheap inn’s bed collapses into a pile of cocaine.
Pink falls face-first into it and gets high as a bull, with emotions and phases swinging between Kabir Singh and Chhota Pandit from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Dodo and Ayush try to keep up with him in a wacky adventure filled with gangsters, shady thuggish women, cross-dressing mishaps, and police raids. So, what will be their trip’s fate? The answer lies a Madgaon Express away, in theatres.
