The Telugu film, MAD is quite special as it marks the debut of Jr NTR's brother-in-law, Narne Nithin into Telugu films. Sithara Entertainments produced this comedy caper which also had Sangeeth Shoban as the main lead. After gaining a lot of popularity and decent revenue with its theatrical release, the youthful drama is now streaming on OTT.

OTTplay was the first one to reveal that Netflix had bought the streaming rights of the film for Rs 8 crore and the college drama would have its digital release on November 3, 2023. The film is now streaming on Netflix and has been getting a lot of attention on social media.

The quirky comedy is especially being loved by the youth, in particular, as the film resonates with college life which everyone goes through in life. MAD was released with table profit as the makers recovered the entire budget with the revenue from the OTT rights.

So, whatever they made with the theatrical revenue was profit for the makers. Paid premieres of the film were also held by the makers and this gave MAD a good buzz before the release and it continued even after the release on October 6, 2023.

The adult content in the promos created a good buzz and as the film was made on a low budget, the makers went all out with the promotions and this resulted in decent openings for MAD across the Telugu states. Within the first weekend itself, MAD entered the profit zone and brought solid profits to the makers.
