Maayon teaser release: The latest Sibiraj starrer is as intriguing as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

The upcoming archaeological mystery-thriller, helmed by N Kishore, also stars Tanya Ravichandran, KS Ravikumar and Radha Ravi in pivotal roles.

The wait for the first teaser of Sibiraj’s Maayon is finally over. Released by Double Meaning Productions, the production house of the mystery-thriller, you can now catch the intriguing one-minute teaser on the net.

Talking about the teaser of Maayon, it opened with a shot of an eagle swooping over an ancient ruin. The video is accompanied by a narrative that carries a deep and baritone voice. The teaser hints at an ancient riddle or puzzle that is left in the hands of the protagonist (Sibiraj) to solve. The eagle or Garuda seems to be an important part of this riddle.

One thing is for sure. The characters of the mystery-thriller are on a mission to excavate something that is age-old and priceless or trying to figure out a puzzle. It also featured Sibiraj and Tanya Ravichandran among others voyaging into an abandoned ruin to make a priceless discovery. From the looks of it, elements present in the ‘Mummy’ movies or ‘Lara Croft’ can also be observed in Maayon. It ensures a rare storyline that the makers are experimenting with, piquing the interest of people to catch the movie on big screens.

The upcoming film will be a double treat, as it also features the soulful soundtrack of Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. Bankrolled by Arun Mozhi Manickam under Double Meaning Productions, Maayon is helmed by Kishore N with Ram Prasad cranking up the cameras. It also features Bagavathi Perumal (Bucks), Hareesh Peradi and Arash Shah, among others.
