With less than two months to go for the release of Maaveeran, the team has begun the post-production work of the film. Today, the makers of the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer dropped a short video which gives a sneak peek into the dubbing session. In the video, Sivakarthikeyan is seen inaugurating the session after a small pooja. Standing next to him is the film's director Madonne Ashwin.

The film's launch was attended by her father, ace director Shankar. Sharing her excitement about the project, Aditi had then written on her social media handle, "Thank you @madonneashwin sir and @iamarunviswa sir for having me onboard

This is the maiden collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan, Madonne Ashwin and Aditi Shankar. The supporting cast includes Yogi Babu, Sunil and Saritha. Madonne Ashwin had earlier helmed Yogi Babu's Mandela, which received a lot of critical acclaim and won the National Award.

Maaveeran's release date was originally announced as August 11 as an Independence Day special. Sivakarthikeyan had then announced the same along with a making video of the film. The video provides a glimpse of some action-packed scenes performed by Sivakarthikeyan.

However, after the makers of Superstar Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer announced the release date as August 10, the Maaveeran team moved the release ahead to June 14.

Bharath Shankar, who had earlier worked in Mandela, has scored the music. While cinematography is by Vidhu Ayyanna, editing is by Philomin. Raj Kumar Gangappan and Arun Venjaramoodu are handling the art direction and Yannick Ben has choreographed the stunt sequences. Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies is bankrolling the project.
