Maaveeran: Here's when the pre-release event of Sivakarthikeyan's much-awaited film will be held

The next star-centric project to hit screens from Kollywood is Maaveeran. The Sivakarthikeyan-starrer will be released on July 14. Directed by Madonne Ashwin, Aditi Shankar plays the female lead in the movie which has been bankrolled by Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies.
Mysskin essays the role of antagonist in this action drama which has Yogi Babu, Sunil and Sarita among others playing important characters. Bharath Sankar has composed music while Vidhu Ayyanna and Philomin Raj have handled cinematography and editing respectively. The movie will be released under the title Mahaveerudu in Telugu.
The makers have unveiled two singles so far from Maaveeran. While the first song Scene Ah Scene Ah garnered lukewarm response, the second track Vannarapettayila managed to impress music buffs. Amazon Prime and Sun TV have bagged the film's digital and satellite rights respectively.
The project is crucial for Siva as his previous outing Prince was a commercial failure at the box office. Maaveeran marks the sophomore movie of Madonne after his acclaimed debut Mandela. There are good expectations riding on the action drama and the industry is eager to know how the film is going to perform at the box office.
For those who have been wondering why the makers are yet to unveil its teaser or trailer, the team has an update. They have announced that the pre-release event of Maaveeran will be held on July 2 at Sri Sairam Engineering College in Chennai.
A promo video has also been released along with the announcement featuring BTS shots from the location. The update on teaser and trailer is expected to be announced at the event.
