This week’s been all about Gadang Rakkamma. The first single from Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming fantasy-action- drama Vikrant Rona has been released in all five languages, one per day, starting with the Kannada version on Monday. The lyrical video of the song, which only has selected visuals, including a hook step, has been very well appreciated across all languages so far. In fact, very many, including several celebrities have been doing reels with their version of the hook step. Even Sudeep did his first-ever Instagram reel in response to his co-star Jacqueline Fernandez’s challenge to do so.

Shortly after the song’s Tamil version was released, one of the first to send Sudeep an appreciative post was Maanaadu director Venkat Prabhu, who is reportedly set to work with the Kannada star once he is done with the release of Vikrant Rona. “I had the privilege of seeing this song in 3D!! Mind blown!! Can’t wait to see the film in theatres!! Hearty wishes chief @KicchaSudeep and team #VikrantRona https://youtu.be/YhOLyFal6Jw #RaRaRakamma,” wrote the director.

Sudeep’s Maanikya co-star Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was also mighty impressed by the Vikrant Rona special number. “Wooohoooo @KicchaSudeep lookingggg so cool..cant wait for the film I sayyyyyy....alll the bessttuuuu... 🤗🤗🤗🤗”.

Composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath, Gadang Rakkamma has been sung by Nakash Aziz and Sunidhi Chauhan in the Tamil version. The singers have also done the Kannada and Hindi versions. The Tamil lyrics are by Palani Bharathi. The song has been choreographed by Jani master.

Vikrant Rona, which is Anup Bhandari’s first directorial collaboration with Sudeep, is set to release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and English on July 28. The film, produced by Shalini Artss and co-produced by Invenio Origin, which has cinematography by William David, was later converted to 3D. The film also stars Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok in pivotal roles.
