The audio launch of Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan is slated to happen in Chennai today evening. The cast and crew of the project will be attending the event. AR Rahman's live concert will be one of the attractions of the affair. Two singles composed by him from the film have already been unveiled recently.

Though makers had already informed that Netflix bagged its digital rights, they are yet to announce its theatrical release date. It is expected that the suspense over the same will be revealed at the event today.

The political drama stars Udhayanidhi in the lead; the movie will be his last outing as an actor as he is busy as the Tamil Nadu Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare. Fahadh Faasil, Vadivelu and Keerthy Suresh play pivotal characters in the project which has cinematography by Theni Eswar and editing by Selva RK.

Udhayanidhi has now announced that none other than Kamal Haasan will be gracing the audio event. The two share a great rapport with each other. Though the duo were at loggerheads during the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election in 2021, Vikram brought them together again.

Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies distributed the action drama last year and is currently one of the producers of the Ulaganayagan's Indian 2. The latter surprised one and all when he announced a while ago that the former will be playing the lead in Raaj Kamal Films International's next project.

However, the producer-turned-actor-turned-politician declined the offer after he forayed into politics. The details of who is replacing him has been kept confidential though there were reports that Vijay Sethupathi is the frontrunner for the same.
