Maamannan: Here's when the trailer of Mari Selvaraj's film, starring Udhayanidhi and Vadivelu, will be out

The audio launch of Maamannan which was held earlier this month was a grand affair with the who's who of Kollywood attending the event. It will be telecast this Sunday on Sun TV and makers have started releasing its promo videos. The team has now revealed when they are going to unveil the movie's trailer.
The promo video of the much-awaited project will be out on June 16. Cinephiles hope that the release date of the film will also be revealed along with the trailer. Though it was said to be hitting screens in June, the team never announced the exact date.
Vadivelu's never-before-seen performance and AR Rahman's music are expected to be prime highlights of Maamannan which is touted as Udhayanidhi's last film as an actor. Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil are others who will be seen playing important characters in the project.
Some of the songs from the movie are already a hit. Raasa Kannu and Nenjame Nenjame have found place in this year's chartbuster Tamil songs. Billed as a political drama, film buffs are eager to know what Mari has to offer them this time around.
Udhayanidhi himself has bankrolled the project under Red Giant Movies while Theni Eswar has handled cinematography. Kumar Gangappan and Selva RK have handled art direction and editing respectively for the film which has action choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan and dance choreography by Sandy.
Netflix acquired the digital rights of Maamannan a while ago. Its OTT premiere is likely to happen in mid July. Mari will helm Dhruv Vikram in his next outing; the shooting is expected to happen after the release of the Udhay-starrer.
