Rajkummar Rao is already on to his next amid Stree 2 ‘s successful box office run and the movie is titled Maalik.

The actor is the lead star in the stellar box office hit Stree 2 which is currently in theaters and breaking records as it nears the Rs 500 crore milestone just 16 days after its release in India. The star is certainly cementing his place among the biggest performers of the year. However, his birthday just became even more special, as he revealed the title and first-look poster of his upcoming film, Maalik which looks as fiery as it gets.
Recently, reports surfaced that, amid the ongoing celebrations for Stree 2's success, Rajkummar Rao has been proactive in ensuring that his future projects don’t suffer. The actor has already begun shooting his next film, which co-stars Miss World Manushi Chhillar, under the direction of Bhakshak director Pulkit. On his birthday, Rajkummar Rao decided to gift his fans by revealing the title and first look of his next project with Pulkit. The film is titled Maalik and the first look exudes power. Rajkummar can be seen in a robust avatar, dressed in a white shirt and trousers, holding a heavy gun. He stands on the bonnet of a Jeep as several cars rally on a long road behind him. The sky is ablaze, with sparks flying, creating an intense and gripping poster. He captioned it, "#Maalik ki duniya mein aapka swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!"
According to Hindustan Times Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar have been shooting Maalik on the Lucknow-Kanpur highway, with the team expected to film there for about a month. The film, which appears to be an action-packed thriller, also stars Anshumaan Pushkar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Swanand Kirkire, among others. The muhurat shot took place last Sunday in Pathakpur village.
“Currently, we are shooting in a village, and then the location will shift to Kanpur for 10 to 12 days. After that, the entire team will move to Lucknow for a long schedule, with filming taking place across multiple locations,” said the film’s line producer, Aroon Singh Dicky.
Pulkit, known for his recent work in thrillers and dramas, will helm this intriguing story as the director. The film shoot is in progress, with an extensive schedule planned across various locations in India. Maalik is produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner and Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films.
