Jude Anthany Joseph's next will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

Lyca Productions has signed hit Malayalam filmmaker Lyca Productions to direct its next production venture. "We are excited & thrilled about this collaboration with the most happening director #JudeAnthanyJoseph for our upcoming project!," tweeted the production house.

However, it's unclear whether Jude will direct the film in Tamil or Malayalam. Considering its recent success with 2018, the project could also be a multilingual venture. In recent times, Jude sparked a lot of speculations about his next movie with his recent meetings with South Indian movie stars. On Tuesday, Jude met Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi and shared his excitement on his social media handles. "Such a humble soul. Met the talented Vijay Sethupathi," he said.

And earlier, he shared his excitement about meeting Kannada superstar Sudeep. "With Sudeep sir, God is very kind that he gave me this opportunity to have some time with him," he said while sharing a picture of himself with Sudeep on his Instagram page.

And Jude's social media posts have had many guessing whether he was meeting all these stars to rope them in for his next project. Speculations are rife that he will be making his next movie with Nivin Pauly, Sudeep and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. With the announcement of Lyca, one of India's major production houses, partnering with Jude, speculations have only gotten stronger. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Jude is now basking in the success of 2018, which became the biggest earner in the history of Malayalam cinema. The film raked in over Rs 150 crore from its worldwide ticket sales . Starring Tovino Thomas in the lead, the film was made on a budget of Rs 30 crore. However, it ended up becoming one of the best disaster movies ever made in India.
