The film marks the directorial debut of RJ and actor Balaji Venugopal
Popular actor Balaji Venugopal is all set to make his debut as a director with Yogi Babu's Lucky Man. The film, which is billed as a comedy caper, revolves around a man, who is on a quest to find out what luck really is. The film's star cast includes Raichal Rebecca, Amit Bhargav, Veera, RS Sivaji, Sathvik to name a few. Lucky Man is gearing up for release on September 1 and the film has proved itself lucky.
While the digital rights of the film have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video, the satellite rights have been acquired by Vijay Television. The audio rights have been bagged by Think Music India. The film will be distributed in Tamil Nadu by Sakthi Film Factory.
A recent poster of the film depicts Yogi Babu driving a car with a learner's sign board with Raichal Rebecca and a child in the backseat. On the other side, Veera is seen in a police vehicle with a dog in the backseat. Music for the film is by Sean Roldan and cinematography by Sandeep K Vijay.
Going by the trailer, Yogi Babu plays Murugan, an 'unlucky' man, whose fate changes when he gets a job as a driver. As he struggles to find parking space for his car, his name unknowingly gets embroiled in a crime. Will Murugan be able to get out of the mess that he gets stuck in? Or is he indeed unlucky?

Yogi Babu was last seen in Madonne Ashwin's Maaveeran, which starred Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. Yogi Babu played a worker who takes up patch work in rundown buildings. Eventually, he is called Patch by everyone. His comic timings and dialogue delivery were a massive hit. Yogi Babu had earlier played the lead in Madonne Ashwin's Mandela, which went on to bag the National Award.
