Lubber Pandhu - After a special show of Lubber Pandhu in Kochi, celebrities showered Swasika with praise, saying she deserved better roles in the industry.
Lubber Pandhu, the most recent Tamil film, has gained attention as a result of the overwhelmingly positive reviews it received after its theatrical debut. Despite having a slow start, the film showed incredible hold on big screens because of strong word-of-mouth publicity. Meanwhile, celebrities who attended a special show in Kochi showered Malayalam actress Swasika with appreciation.
The actress portrayed Asodhai, the wife of Gethu, also known as Poomalai (Attakathi Dinesh), in this Tamizharasan Pachamuthu-directed movie. After a special show of Lubber Pandhu in Kochi, celebrities showered Swasika with praise, labelling her an 'underrated' Malayalam artiste who deserved better roles in the industry because of her versatility as a performer.
Saudi Vellaka-fame director Tharun Moorthy, along with actors Vinay Forrt, Bala, Munna, Dinesh Panicker, Manju Pillai, Shivada, Ananya, Sarayu, Manjari, Karthik Surya, K S Prasad, and numerous more celebrities, attended the special show. Following the screening, Swasika was seen beaming with joy as she accepted all of the compliments.
Speaking to mediapersons, she described the tremendous thrill that arises when one's greatest wish comes true. Swasika also said that she is overjoyed to earn lauds from the crowd and critics in Kerala as well.
The main character of the movie is Anbu (Harish Kalyan), a talented cricket bowler who plays as a guest for other teams instead of having his own squad. In the meantime, Gethu known as Poomalai (Attakathi Dinesh) is a notably experienced player, much to the dismay of his wife Asodhai (Swaswika) and daughter, Durga (Sanjana). The film deftly interweaves a tale of good sportsmanship, personal conflict, and tyranny even as circumstances drive Anbu and Gettu to be at odds. Disney+ Hotstar has acquired Lubber Pandhu's post-release streaming rights.
According to OTTplay's review, Tamizharasan's film is unquestionably one of the best sports dramas to come out this year in Tamil, with the actors ably backing a picture that puts a huge impact on the viewers.
