Loving Rocky Bhai's lines on violence, nepotism and being the CEO of India in KGF2? Guess what, Yash wrote most of them

KGF director Prashant Neel has been quoted as saying that Yash was a major contributor to the dialogues in the film

Loving Rocky Bhai’s lines on violence, nepotism and being the CEO of India? Guess what, Yash wrote most of them

In the run-up to the release of KGF: Chapter 2, director Prashant Neel often spoke about how involved his lead actor, Yash, was in the making of the film, including the lines that his character, Rocky, would say in a given situation. Prashant’s admission came after the film’s trailer dropped with the line, “Violence, violence, violence, I don’t like, I avoid, but violence likes me, I can’t avoid”, which had everyone spell-bound.

Talking about all the improvisation on set during the making of the film, Prashant said that he would discuss a scene with Yash and that the actor would then come up with lines that he thought Rocky would, ideally, say in such a situation. This would then be run by the rest of the writing team, fine-tuned and used in the film, explained the filmmaker.

And that is how we then got to hear gems like, “I am also CEO… CEO of India”, “History tells us that powerful people come from powerful places. History was wrong! Powerful people make places powerful” and, of course, “Enande....Ondu Hejje Ittkondu Bandavnu Antha Helida… Correctu...Gadiyaradalli Ondu Gante Agabeku Andre Dodda Mullu 60 Hejje Idabeku. Chikka Mullu Ondu Hejje Ittare Saaku... Nannu Hejje Ittagide, Atada Range Change Agide. Ninna Haavu Eni Atakke Mungusi Ilidide... Inmunde Ee Territory Nindu Aa Territory Nandu Annodu Bitbidi. World Is My Territory”, among others.

Produced by Hombale Films, KGF: Chapter 2 opened in theatres on April 14 and has, since then, been breaking box-office records by the day. The film has released in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. A third of the film’s collections are expected to come from the Hindi belt, where it has had a fantabulous opening. The film stars Yash in the lead, along with Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, BS Avinash, Malavika Avinash, Eashwari Rao, Archana Jois, Saran Sakthi, Ayyappa P Sharma, Tarak Ponnappa, among others.
