The first song from director MG Srinivas’ upcoming film Ghost was released yesterday and the Arjun Janya composition, OGM (Original Gangster Music) , has literally taken off like wildfire, trending on streaming platforms. Instead of releasing one song and having versions of it in all the different languages that the film will release in, Srinivas and Arjun came up with a different concept. OGM starts in English, then progresses into Kannada Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam lyrics. In fact, the Malayalam portion, sung by Jithin Raj, has received extra appreciation. And now, given the warm welcome that OGM has got, Srinivas has decided to make the experience even better for fans by giving them the exact lyrics to sing along. The filmmaker has put up a Ghost poster with the entire lyrics on social media, which has also gone viral.

Ghost, meanwhile, is set for a pan-India release on October 19 for Dasara. The film has Shivarajkumar in the lead, along with Jayaram and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. Srinivas has been tight-lipped about the rest of the cast, saying that the film is an action heist thriller. About 20% of the narrative will feature Shivarajkumar in a gangster avatar, while most of the rest takes place in a prison. The story, the actor-filmmaker had added, is based on an actual event that occurred in Chennai a few years ago. To be told in two parts, Ghost will also serve as the first film in the Srinivas Cinematic Universe which will marry the Ghost and Birbal franchises and set up storylines for films that will come out in the next 10 years.

After Ghost, Shivarajkumar will be seen Yogaraj Bhat’s Karataka Dhamanaka, while his films Bhairathi Ranagal and 45 are still in production. While Bhairathi Ranagal will serve as a prequel and sequel to Mufti, not much is known about 45, which is Arjun Janya’s directorial debut and has Raj B Shetty and Upendra also on the cast.
