Netflix is all set to bring another gripping science fiction series called Goodbye Earth after the critical acclaim of 3 Body Problem. The streaming giant has teamed with Korean director Kim Jin-min for the upcoming adaptation of the Japanese novel ‘The Fool at the End of the World’ into a new K-drama. Set in the pre-apocalyptic world, the drama reflects on the evident mass destruction and hysteria following the deadly collapse. Goodbye Earth is based on Japanese author Kotaro Isaka’s popular novel, The Fool at the End of the World. Netflix's upcoming K-drama will be dropping on April 26 on the streaming platform. However, the makers are yet to share any teasers or trailer clips, which in turn piques the interest of the viewers ahead of its anticipated premiere.

Goodbye Earth plot and cast

This pre-apocalyptic drama revolves around the characters grappling with the harsh truth that, in 200 days, planet Earth will be shattered. It is presumed to be colliding with a deadly asteroid that risks humanity’s extinction and mass destruction.

The series features actor Yoo Ah-in in the lead role, along with Ahn Eun-jin, Jeon Sung-woo, and Kim Yoon-hye in pivotal roles. Goodbye Earth also marks Yoo’s anticipated projects after the anaesthetic drug scandal. Yoo plays the role of a researcher at a biotechnology research institute. Ahn Eun-jin plays a volunteer at Ungcheon City Hall as he grapples to save children in danger.
