6 filmmakers - Akshay Indikar, Archana Phadke, Collin D’Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Vivek Soni, have directed the individual stories of the the docu-series. You can catch all the stories of Love Storiyaan on February 14, 2024, only on Amazon Prime Video.
Love Storiyaan has drawn inspiration from India Love Project, a social media community. Former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar and Niloufer Venkatraman founded the community, which serves as the source material. Somen Mishra, who developed the concept, joins Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta as executive producers for the docu-series.
Aparna Purohit, the head of Prime Video India, stated that Love Storiyaan will show how much they care about making stories that reflect the different people's perspectives, and also connect with them on a deep level. This series is all about real and inspiring love stories that go beyond what society says is normal and defy the rules. The India Love Project is a delightful page on Instagram. They share stories about people who fall in love and get married, even though they might have different religions, backgrounds, or even genders. 3 journalists - Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar and Niloufer Venkatraman started the India Love Project in 2020. They did this because some people were being mean online to the jewellery brand - Tanishq, for showing a couple from different religions getting married in an advertisement. India Love Project wants to show that love can happen between anyone, no matter their differences.
