Jung Hae-in's Seung-hyo is madly in love with Jung So-min's Seok-ryu. He wants to take things further with her. Thus, Seung-hyo has planned a grand proposal. Meanwhile, Dan-ho (Yoon Ji-on) had finally accepted his feelings for Mo-eum (Kim Ji-eun) and is working on them. Here's where the leads will be in tonight's episode of Love Next Door (just a week before the grand finale)...

Seung-hyo helps Seok-ryu pursue her passion in old ways

Seung-hyo had entered Seok-ryu in a cooking competition, and she won the award. On realizing his mistake, he apologizes for entering her name for the contest without her permission. She, in turn, is shocked at winning the award. Seung-hyo suggests Seok-ryu to do what she did before, which is making cooking videos, like she did in The US. Thus, they start that again, together this time.

Mo-eum doesn't have her mother's permission to date Dan-ho

Meanwhile, Mo-eum's mother Jae-sook (Kim Keum-soon) is against her dating Dan-ho. "I don't care if the sky falls," she screams at Mo-eum. He, however, has confessed his feelings and is finally ready to start acting on them. He informs Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu of the same. Dan-ho is nervous and doesn't know his next steps.

Seung-hyo plans a wedding proposal for Seok-ryu

Seung-hyo informs Myeong-u (Jun Suk-ho) that he will get married. He is ready to propose to Seok-ryu and has grand plans for it. He uses his car's trunk to propose to Seok-ryu. Before actually going for it, Seung-hyo gets excited and blushes at the thought of Seok-ryu's reaction.

What happened in episode 13?

Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu finally started going out on dates and doing official couple things (including sneaking around). Unfortunately, Seok-ryu had applied to work outside of Korea, and Seung-hyo discovered the same. Thus, after a brief moment of disappointment, things are back to normal between this couple.

Meanwhile, Mo-eum got drunk after being rejected by Dan-ho. He, however, proposed to her in front of her mother. Dan-ho also had feelings for Mo-eum, but suppressed them thinking she would be in a bad situation if they started dating. Eventually, though, he understood that they could not deny their feelings for each other. Thus, Mo-eum and Dan-ho's love story, too, is off to a great start.
