Here’s why Ajith Kumar-Vignesh Shivan’s movie was shelved

Kollywood Thala Ajith Kumar was supposed to do a film with director Vignesh. However the project, titled AK 62, was dropped due to unknown reasons. Later, the director came forward and clarified the reasons behind shelving the project.

In an interview, the filmmaker revealed that the producer of the movie needed him to alter things in the second half of the script, which didn’t sit well with him. “One has to handle everything. It is a disappointment indeed. The hurdle was that my producer wasn’t satisfied with the second half of my script. But that is what my story is about, and I cannot change it. With Ajith sir, things were all fine, but from the producer’s side, they demanded that some things could be different in the script. However, I couldn’t do it,” Vignesh explained.
