Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently revealed that he is ready with the first song of Love And War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The news comes while Ranbir is still shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Love And War is expected to go on floors in November this year and the sets of the movie are yet to be completed in Mumbai.

SLB’s statement

While talking to Galatta Plus after his Netflix show Heeramandi’s success, the filmmaker revealed, “I have created a song for Love & War, and I don’t know where I’ll fit it in, but I have created it. And now I’ll find a way, and I know that song has to be in the film, and without that song, the film would be incomplete.”

About Love And War schedule

Love And War is scheduled to go on floors in November. Ranbir is expected to wrap up or at least almost wrap up Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana (God Power) by the time. The actor will be prepping for Love And War around August or early September. Alia will start working on YRF’s Spy thriller with Sharvari Wagh around the same time. It’s still unclear as to when Vicky Kaushal will join the shoot.

Heeramandi success

Sanjay Leela Bhansali touched upon a controversial topic, Heeramandi, for his OTT debut. While there’s a large section of the audience who loves the movie, there’s another which looks down upon it. Interestingly, the controversy dates back to the times of Indian Independence. Just a few years before India became Independent and Pakistan was formed (Heeramandi is in Lahore), the British forced tawaifs to be recognized as s*x workers. The debate continues till date, and there are strong opinions on both sides. Thus, it is no surprise that Heeramandi touched upon something and became a success on the OTT platform.
