Lokesh Kanagaraj developed a special bond with Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt during the filming of Leo.
Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has developed a great rapport with seasoned Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt during the making of Leo. Dutt, who plays a pivotal role in the movie, has taken a liking to Lokesh's directorial approach and has affectionately started calling him "son" after just a few days of collaboration.
"After four days of working with me, he started calling me 'son'. I also told him that I was his big fan since Khal Nayak. He loves my way of working. Because from the beginning, I won't take too many shots from different angles. I would have discussed the angles with my cameraman, and I won't trouble the artists with extra shots. Also, I feel when you do multiple takes, at some point, it becomes mechanical. So I don't do that. I think that's what he likes about my style of working," Lokesh revealed

Lokesh has caught the imagination of movie buffs across the country for his genre-bending and crossover films. With Leo, he aims to expand his cinematic universe, weaving together intricate storylines revolving around spies and ruthless drug-lords. The director expressed his gratitude towards the producers and actors who have supported his vision and enabled the creation of this unique cinematic universe.
"I have to thank all my stars and producers for allowing me to create this cinematic universe. Because it's not that easy as there are a lot of complications. Every star enjoys a huge fan following and when we are uniting them, we need to handle them with a lot of care and responsibility," he added.
Leo, featuring an ensemble cast including Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, and others, is currently in production. The film went on the floors earlier this year in the picturesque valley of Kashmir and is progressing smoothly towards its completion.
Leo is due in cinemas on October 19.
