The Vikram director is said to be making a brief appearance in the film
Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has helmed Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Vikram, is likely to make a brief appearance in the film, if reports are to be believed. If the buzz is indeed true, this is not the first time that Lokesh Kanagaraj has made an appearance in a film. He had earlier faced the camera in his previous directorial venture Master as well. However, there is no confirmation on the same yet.
In fact, the team of Vikram had also managed to keep the presence of Suriya in the film a top secret. It was only during the audio launch of the film last week that Lokesj Kanagaraj confirmed his presence in it. He later shared a picture with Suriya as well and had captioned it, "More than Happy to welcome @Suriya_offlSir ๐ค Into the World of #Vikram ๐ฅ@ikamalhaasan @RKFI #VikramFromJune3 (sic). " The trailer, too, gave a sneak peek of Suriya in the film.
Vikram is billed as an action thriller. Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil will be sharing the screen space with Kamal Haasan in it. The rest of the star cast includes Antony Verghese, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Shanvi Srivastava,Shivani Narayanan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram and Hareesh Peradi. Cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj.
Vikram marks Anirudh's second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2. The song Pathala Pathala, written and sung by Kamal Haasan, has already become one of the most viewed songs on YouTube.
In the meantime, the makers also revealed the title for the Hindi and Telugu version of the film as Vikram Hitlist. The trailer for the Hindi version was launched as well. The film is all set to hit screens on June 3 and the digital rights of the film have been snapped by Disney + Hotstar.
