The Vikram director said that the film will be both mass and class
It's official! Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has finally confirmed that his next project is with Thalapathy Vijay. The director revealed the same at an award function held recently. When the show's host questioned about the speculations that Thalapathy67 will be helmed with Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director confirmed the same. When he was again questioned about whether the film would be mass or class, Lokesh Kanagaraj said that he it was both mass and class.
Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay had earlier worked together in Master, which also had Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. The plot revolved around an alcoholic professor, who takes up a temporary teaching job at a juvenile home, who goes on to clash with a ruthless professor. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. Cinematography is by Sathyan Sooran, editing is by Philomin Raj and music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander. The film had an ensemble cast, which included Malavika Mohanan as the leading lady, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das adn Gouri G Kishan.
In the meantime, Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with the promotions of Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Vikram. Vikram is an action entertainer, which has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in the lead. The film also has a cameo appearance by Suriya. Vikram is releasing in a number of languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
On the other hand, Vijay is working on Thalapathy66, directed by Vamsi Paidipally. The shoot for the film is happening in full swing at Hyderabad. Rashmika Mandanna plays the leading lady in it. The music is composed by S Thaman. Interestingly, this is the first that Thaman is composing for Vijay and Rashmika is teaming up opposite Vijay. Thalapathy 66 has an ensemble cast including Shaam, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, and Samyuktha.
