The Kaithi actor has played a small role in Kamal Haasan's upcoming offering
It looks like Lokesh Kanagaraj's protege Arjun Das too, has played a small role in Kamal Haasan's much-awaited Vikram. The director, confirmed the same in an interview to a YouTube channel and said that Arjun has the sharpness and the elegance that he looks for in a villain in his kind of films. He added that his voice was an icing on the cake.
Arjun Das thanked the director on his social media page and wrote, "This means the world to me! Thank you @Dir_Lokesh Sir 🤗🤗. I promise to work harder to keep making you proud! Extremely honoured to have played a very small part in @RKFI ’s #Vikram. Lots of love, Your Discovery ❤️#VikramFromJune3 🔥(sic)."
Arjun had shared a few BTS pictures from Vikram, which did the rounds on the internet. Arjun shot to fame with Lokesh Kanagaraj's previous directorial Kaithi. He played the antagonist in the film. His baritone voice and mean look had made him a favourite among the audience. Arjun, later appeared in Vijay's Master, which interestingly was also helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. His performance was well appreciated in the film.
Vikram has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil sharing the screen space along with Kamal Haasan. Suriya has made a special appearance. The news was kept under wraps for a long time. The supporting star cast comprises Gayathrie Shankar, Antony Verghese, Narain, Arjun Das, Kalidas Jayaram, Shanvi Srivastava, Shivani Narayanan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram and Hareesh Peradi. Cinematography for the film is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj. Music for the film is by Anirudh.
Vikram marks Anirudh's second outing with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2. This is also his second collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj after the Vijay- Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Master. This is Fahadh's third film in Tamil after Velaikkaran and Super Deluxe. Vikram NFTs will be launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, for which the film's leading man Kamal Haasan was present. The actor turned quite a few heads at the festival.
Vikram has got the 'UA' certificate from the Censor Board of Certification and the film's run time spans 173 minutes.The digital rights have been bagged by Disney + Hotstar and the satellite rights have been acquired by Star Vijay.
