Locke and Key season 2 is set to release on Netflix on 22 October.
Netflix unveiled a teaser trailer for Locke and Key season 2, an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. The second season of the 10-episode series is set to premiere on 22 October.
From the looks of the clip, the second instalment will move away from the source material to deliver another edition of magic and scares. Set to an ominous background score, the teaser opens to antagonist Dodge (Laysla De Oliveira) disguised as Gabe (Griffin Gluck), who is clearly devising another one of her sinister plans.
According to the logline presented by Netflix, season 2 will see the siblings discover more magic as they delve deeper into the power of these keys.
Locke and Key season 1 followed Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) as they moved to their family’s ancestral home after their father’s death, only to find it brimming with magical keys.
The first instalment, filled with twists and turns that kept fans on edge, ended on a cliffhanger after the kids came face to face with Dodge.
Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House) have written the series.
