Lock Upp Grand Finale: Munawar Faruqui becomes the winner of Kangana Ranaut’s show, Payal Rohatgi is runner-up

Munawar Faruqui has won Lock Upp. The comedian has picked up the trophy and won everything promised to the winner of Kangana Ranaut’s show. He was competing with Payal Rohatgi, who has become the runner-up of the show.

Munawar was also the highest voted contestant and the most loved inside and outside the jail. He received more than 18 lakh votes, which created history on Lock Upp.

The stand-up comedian has a loyal fan following called Munawar Ki Janta, which has helped him reach the stage that he is at. Kangana could change the game but she made Munawar the winner of the reality show, much like the viewers wanted.

After winning Lock Upp, Munawar has won many things. He has won a car which he always wanted. When the car was introduced on Lock Upp with TejRan on day 70 (the last day in the jail), Munawar said that he always thought about buying a car but didn’t because all of his savings would go behind buying the car.

Now, Munawar has not only won the trophy and the car but also an additional Rs. 20 lakhs. Apart from that, he also gets the opportunity to visit Italy. Jailor Karan Kundrra has also been promised a trip to Italy.

While earlier reports stated that the winner could get an AltBalaji show, it has not yet been confirmed. Munawar, too, has not yet dabbled into acting and so, there is absolutely no confirmation on the same.

Anjali Arora made it to top three, Shivam Sharma to top four and Azma Fallah to top five. Prince Narula was among top six but it was revealed that he never was a kaidi and he bagged the AltBalaji show instead of the trophy.

Since Prince was never a kaidi, Saisha Shinde becomes the top six but she never came to the grand finale as a finalist. Poonam Pandey and Ali Mercchant made it to the top seven and eight respectively.

However, the real competition on the show and at the grand finale, was between Munawar and Payal. After being declared the second runner-up, Payal ran to greet her fiancé and to-be husband Sangram Singh, who rooted for her throughout the episode.
